The decision to apply the center-index concept to medical text was made in 1977 by Dr. John P. Wells. He corroborated with Dr. Richard P. Dickey to incorporate their respective clinical experience with Dr. Dickey’s extensive research to develop, and publish, the first edition of Managing Contraceptive Pill Patients.
